Discover the hidden Mallorca, a haven of serenity and old worlde charm...

Five bedrooms, five bathrooms, private swimming pool, magnificent gardens set in 5 acres (3 hectares) of private estate. Sweep through the electric gates and along the drive to Se Serra Mitjana, a lovingly restored, vine-covered finca, a 200 year old manor house extensively modernised for today's discriminating traveller.

Set in the heart of the south Mallorcan countryside just outside the quiet village of Calonge, (which has two great restaurants), yet only two miles from the beaches, and nightlife of Cala d'Or, here you will find a haven of tranquillity and peace, the only noise you are likely to hear are the fluttering of doves from the dovecote. Enter through the old oak rustic double front doors into the large lounge which overlooks the gardens.

TV, video and satellite are provided. A stereo CD is piped to all rooms on the ground floor. In the grounds you will discover almond and lemon groves, tomato vines, a dovecote, and around the house a luxuriant formal country garden of lawns, plants and roses. Grapes hang heavy (in season) over the outside patio dining table, providing shade for alfresco lunches. The barbecue is set among sage, thyme and rose bushes adjacent to the patio and garden loungers. A garden swing hangs from the bough of a large pepper tree, and old farm carts, giant olive oil pots and cartwheels add to the ambiance.

An old well is in the garden. The large swimming pool is not overlooked and has exercise equipment for that early morning workout. The pretty marina of Cala d'Or, full of mega yachts and delightful restaurants is a short ride away down the old port road.

A secluded honeymoon? You could stay here for two weeks and remain totally anonymous.

A dinner party for 20 guests? No problem, Se Serra Mitjana can cope with this.

There is a newly built casita, a self-contained, one en-suite bedroom cottage with living room and kitchen, is available at a nominal additional charge.
